Friday 14th February
Arrive in Windermere to a warm welcome on Valentine’s Day anytime from 1 pm and enjoy one of our famous Afternoon Teas served with a glass of pink fizz to get you in the mood!
Strawberries dipped in chocolate along with a pack of homemade valentine cookies will await you in your room. Every room at Broadoaks is completely unique and furnished and finished to a very high standard – choose from 4-poster beds, sunken spa baths with TV’s, open log fires, or there’s even an option of detached garden suites nestled in the grounds only 2 mins walk from the main building.
Enjoy the rest of the afternoon relaxing before we serve cocktails and canapés from 6.30 pm, with our resident pianist Peter Brown playing romantic classics in our Music Room pre-dinner and also the restaurant during your valentine’s meal.
You will then be taken through to our fabulous Oaks Restaurant to enjoy a 5-course gourmet dining experience. Our Michelin recommended kitchen caters for all dietary needs, so if a gluten-free or vegan Valentine’s meal is your preference, or you have a particular allergy, head chef Sharon and her team will make sure you’re well well looked after. Try our wine pairing menu as an added extra.
After dinner, relax with a coffee and petit four by the fire in our music room, or have them taken to your room for you to enjoy in private.
Note: If you wish, you can have your Afternoon Tea on Saturday rather than the day of your arrival.
Saturday 15th February
If you have stayed the night before:
We don’t rise early here at Broadoaks, so our Cumbrian or Continental options are served in the Orangery from 8.30 to 10 am. Alternatively, you can pre-book breakfast in bed for an extra Valentines treat.
