HOW TO GET TO BROADOAKS COUNTRY HOUSE HOTEL

FROM THE SOUTH

We are only 20 mins drive from Junction 36 of the M6, from this junction follow the A591 to Windermere / Ambleside. After about 20 mins drive you will see the Sun Hotel on the right handside, just after this on the right you will see a road signposted Troutbeck Youth Hostel (and our signpost in the field). Take a right here, this is Bridge lane. Drive for a further 5 mins and you will see Broadoaks on the righthand side.

FROM THE NORTH

Your sat nav will suggest that you come off at Junction 40, unless you really want a pretty drive then we would suggest carrying on until junction 36 and follow the same route above. The pretty drive will take you alongside Lake Ullswater and will take you twice as long.

ARRIVING BY TRAIN

We are only 5 mins taxi ride from Windemere train station. Windemere Station itself can be reached via Oxenholme, Preston and a few other stations from the West coast mainline. We would suggest using www.thetrainline.com to plan your journey as Avanti West Coast and Northern do have a habit of changing the routes from time to time.
