We often get asked what sorts of events we can hold here at our hotel and the short answer is just about any! Whatever your occasion, we’re certain we can accommodate it with our multiple function rooms, extensive gardens, and stunning accommodation.
Some of the most popular events that we host include birthday, anniversary and family reunion celebrations, amongst many others.
For those looking for a boutique and chic venue, Broadoaks offers plenty of choice. The Orangery is a great option and is often used for the likes of a christening party or stylish birthday celebration. Alternatively, the Great Oaks Room offers traditional Victorian elegance and is well suited to those intimate occasions, such as a special wedding anniversary.
Both venues host up to 50 guests each and can be joined to accommodate up to 100 guests, making our hotel ideal for both intimate occasions and big celebrations.
If you’re wanting a more informal atmosphere for your special occasion, such as a big family reunion, we can also offer buffets and BBQs out in our lovely gardens, with the views across the Lake District offering the perfect backdrop.
However, we don’t just cater for personal events and our hotel can be exclusively hired for corporate use. With four rooms that can be used by you and your colleagues, you can undertake team building events, meetings, and end of year celebrations, followed by delicious food and beautiful accommodation.

When do you want to hire it?
We offer a range of exclusive hire options throughout the year, so there’s bound to be something for everyone, no matter when you want to hold your celebration.
From March to October, we offer a tailor-made, standard package from £2,995 for exclusive hire, which includes exclusive use of the house, its two main buildings and all grounds, all 16 luxury bedrooms as well as food and drink. This package makes Broadoaks Country House the perfect venue, whether your celebration is a spring, summer, or autumn shindig.
During January and February, we offer a Winter Wonderland package to perfectly compliment the crisp air and frosty mountains. With all the benefits of the standard package, plus some added bonuses, your special occasion will be excellently catered for. In fact, why not consider holding a belated Christmas work party in January to avoid the crowds in December, or celebrate the love of your family in the month of St Valentine?
Alternatively, if you’d like to stay traditional, our Moonlight and Mistletoe December package is great for work Christmas parties, as well as festive family gatherings or those lucky enough to share a birthday month with Father Christmas.
