An ‘Eiffel’ lot of romance
The date is 19th September 2018, and it’s Rebecca and Nico’s turn to make wedding celebration history.
“Darling, pack your bags – we’re going to Paris” – words many women would love to hear.
But little did Rebecca know, those words were about to get a whole lot better…
What started as a relaxing birthday getaway to the romantic city, Rebecca and Nico had spent a day exploring and soaking up the Parisienne charm, before hopping onto a river cruise that ended up at the Eiffel Tower, which, as it was dusk, was lit up and sparkling.
Under the gorgeous glare of the tower and completely unbeknownst to Rebecca, Nico got down on one knee and there, in front of one of the finest beauties in the world, he took the hand of his own beauty and said the words: “Will you marry me?”
Rebecca, of course, said yes.
When you know, you know
After the Rom-Com drama of the proposal, the couple knew instantly that their wedding theme would have a Parisienne flare draped in pink and grey.
And so, when it came to choosing the venue, Rebecca and Nico knew they had to find somewhere that had both the beauty and the charm that would complement it.
It was also so important to them that there was total exclusivity and the venue and grounds were all theirs.
After visiting other venues and not getting that ‘WOW’ feeling they were after, it was only when they visited us here at Broadoaks that they really found their ‘je ne sais quoi’.
“We adored the location, the views, the bedrooms and the welcoming feel was just perfect, so we knew this was the place for us: It was a real ‘when you know, you know’ moment!”
A masterpiece in the making
A wedding with such beauty can take a lot of planning to get right, so Rebecca was delighted that the friendly and experienced staff here at Broadoaks Country House were on hand to help her plan all the wonderful little intricacies that would bring her theme to life.
And so it was, after months of masterpiece making, the big day arrived…
Le grand jour!
With the skies as fresh as the peonies in the Champs-Elysees garden, the venue was ready to welcome the couple’s excited entourage.
The Orangery looked simply magnifique with Rebecca and Nico’s pink and grey personal touch décor, which was stunningly snapped by the talented Somerside Photography.
And of course, the bride herself dazzled in her stunning white gown.
After a beautiful ceremony of love and laughter, the guests were completely WOW’d by the pair’s surprise singing waiters expertly executed by the Silver Service Singers, which erupted the room with more euphoria than a night at the Moulin Rouge!
More fun and frolics came from the other pièce de résistance, the perfectly Parisienne Eiffel cake provided by Too Nice To Slice, which was made a spectacle of in the traditional way.
As the party continued long into the evening, Rebecca and Nico kept the energy and enjoyment going, swirling and twirling on the dancefloor, proving the Last Tango really was in Paris.
