#1 Megan and David were expecting their very first child – a beautiful baby boy.
#2 David surprised Megan with a romantic weekend away in Newcastle to celebrate their exciting news.
#3 Megan was blown away by a stunning proposal in their luxury suite.

Vintage Floral
Megan has always been drawn to the floral style: simple, elegant and without fuss: just like the lovely lady herself.
So, when it came to choosing the theme for their wedding, what better brief to stick to than that?
A Venue Fit For The Whole Bunch!
When choosing their wedding venue, Megan and David were adamant they wanted somewhere close to Windermere that was able to accommodate both families and provide an area where the children could play.
Upon stepping foot in Broadoaks, they were instantly blown away by its natural beauty and sheer splendour: it really was the most wonderful place for a wedding.
In addition, they were able to hire the whole house and its beautifully manicured grounds for the whole weekend so that both families could come together and relax, they knew it was a winner.
“We instantly fell in love with Broadoaks” said Megan. “Having the venue to ourselves provided that extra special touch you just don’t get with other venues”
The stunning country house charm also complimented the couple’s vintage theme.
The Beautiful Big Day
When the big day arrived, it was nothing short of magical. The sun shone and the venue was awash with laughter and excitement from the couple’s wonderful guests.
As Megan and David wanted to enjoy their day to the fullest, it was a blessing that Broadoaks’ in-house wedding co-ordinators, Jo and Darryn were there to ensure everything ran so smoothly.
When the ceremony began, the whole room was filled with a real love for the beautiful bride and groom, which carried throughout the whole day.
The reception room was adorned to perfection with the couples’ favourite flowers, provided by Bluebell & Ivy Professional Florist, and the crowning glory, the wedding cake looked simply divine thanks to The Bakery at No.4.
Dancing away into the early hours, the day was a roaring success, and one Megan and David will never forget.

From the food to the rooms, everything was perfect and exactly what we wanted. It’s the perfect wedding venue and I can’t speak more highly of each member of staff that made our day so special”
