No matter how much we tell you about the wonderful features of Broadoaks, the fabulous setting and incredible views at every turn, none of this would mean anything without the fantastic team of staff we have assembled.
Everyone plays a vital part in making Broadoaks such a unique and desirable destination, and all are committed to ensuring our guests are catered for with the highest levels of service and attention to detail.

Andrea Carter
(General Manager)Andrea joined the Broadoaks team in July 11 as our new General Manager, she has worked in hospitality all of her career and joined Broadoaks to get some fresh air from the sunny shores of Blackpool.
Andrea was previously assistant GM at the prestigious Sheraton hotel on Blackpool waterfront. Bubbling with experience we know that Andrea is the right person to help maintain the meticulous standards that we have at Broadoaks, she likes to have a lot of fun along the way, especially with a bar of chocolate in hand!!!

James
(Deputy GM)We are delighted to have James as part of the Broadoaks management team. In his new position as Deputy GM he will be working very closely alongside Andrea to help Broadoaks achieve even higher levels of standards across the board. James is a very experience hotelier having ran a number of hotels himself as GM, we are delighted he has relocated to the Lakes to join our team.

Sharon
((Executive Chef))Our kitchen is headed by accomplished executive chef Sharon Elders. The 40-year-old award-winner from Morecambe, has worked at several restaurants including Longlands Hotel in Carnforth, The Pines Hotel in Chorley and Lucy’s in Ambleside. Sharon was once Lisa Allen’s boss when the Great British Menu winner was just starting out.

Joe Snape
Joe joined us in April 2013 as our New Food & Beverage Manager. He has worked in the Hospitality trade for over 15 Years. Working in Hotels in Greece,Ireland and Wales.

Viki
(Events Manager)Viki has been a member of the management team at Broadoaks for over 4 years (give or take a few months when she was off having her little girl Ellie Mai), she has recently been promoted to our Events manager. Viki is a born and bred Cumbrian, she has worked in the services industry since leaving college. Her little secret is that she is a fully trained hairdresser, so if you are in desperate need of a quick trim then Viki is your gal!

Little Jo
(Events Coordinator)Due to the popularity of our beautiful house as an exclusive hire venue for weddings, birthdays and corporate events, we have recently created the position of a full time events coordinator. We are delighted that Jo, or "little Jo" as we call her due to having 2 other staff members by the same name decided to join the Broadoaks Team. Jo studied events management as one of her topics on her degree course, she is also currently planning her own wedding so she understands the importance of all those little details.

Tracey Robinson
(Owner)Tracey bought Broadoaks Country House in Oct 2007 after a career spanning over 25 years in Engineering and the world of corporate IT. Originally from Liverpool this beautiful Country House allows Tracey to spend time with her family when in the North. Tracey now spends her time between Surrey and Cumbria and acts as the visionary behind the goal of becoming one of Cumbria's finest and most chic Country House Hotels.

Lady Jo Harbottle
Jo joined the Broadoaks team as part of the senior team in Jan 2011, having set up and run Jo Clarks wine & coffee bar in Guilford for the last 15 years she figured she needed a change of scenery. Jo is head of the customer experience at Broadoaks and is responsible for introducing all of those little extra "woman" touches to the house. She also makes all of the jams, and marmalades that can be experienced at breakfast time.

John Sloggie
(Hotel Consultant and Financial Controller)John Sloggie joined the Broadoaks Management team in Jan 2008. John has spent his entire career in the hospitality industry and has managed hotels from 12 rooms to 500 rooms. He also spent many years working at Condé Nast Johansens as a hotel inspector. John's experience of day to day proceedures within the hotel industry is second to none and he is a key player in ensuring that Broadoaks over exceeds its standards at all times.

Molly
(The Cockapoo)Lots of people ask about my breed, my daddy was a mini black poodle and my mum was a lovely marble cocker spaniel. My curly black hair never comes out (unless I get stuck on those damn sheep fences!). Most people think my mum has given me a "scouse" perm... how rude! I grew up in the lakes at the hotel, I now split my time between the hotel and my mum's house in Surrey. If ever I am at the hotel please offer to take me for a walk as I am always ready for action.
