Christmas Itinerary: Arrival – Friday 24th December 2010 Arrive to a warm welcome where the festivities will begin from the moment you walk through the door. Afternoon Tea will be served on arrival or once you have had time to settle into your room. Our Christmas Eve dinner experience will begin with a champagne and canapé reception at 7pm in our Music room where you will have the chance preview the menu and enjoy a little pre dinner drink. Guests will be taken through to our Oaks restaurant from 7.30pm where you will experience a 4 course gourmet meal with your partner or other members of your party. After dinner, listen to a selection of Christmas and romantic music, played by our resident Pianist in the Music room whilst enjoying Tea or coffee with mince pies (or something a little stonger if you wish!). Christmas Day - Saturday 25th December 2010 Start the morning in style with a Bucks Fizz breakfast served in Oaks Restaurant – choose from our wide selection of breakfast items including continental and Full English options. Enjoy the rest of the morning at your own leisure – maybe take a stroll around the grounds or carry on opening presents! Our 5 course Christmas Day Lunch is served at 1pm where you will have the option to select from a host of different menu options – no need to worry if your don’t like Turkey there is plenty to choose from. After lunch, feel free to make use of our board games in the music room or simply relax with your favourite tipple whilst letting your Christmas dinner go down! A light evening buffet will be served at 7.30pm for anyone who is feeling a little peckish. Boxing Day – Sunday 26th December 2010 After breakfast, start your day with a boxing day cruise on the lake (tickets provided), make your choice which cruise to take leaving from either Bowness or Ambleside. The views of the surrounding snow covered mountains truly are a fantastic sight! Return to the hotel early afternoon – 2pm for a light lunch of soup and Sandwiches served in our Music room or Lounge Bar. Go out in style – on your last night our kitchen team have created a 6 course Gala Dinner. For an additional charge enjoy a selection of premium wines that have been paired by our wine experts to carefully match each of the courses. Enjoy the meal with other guests that you have met during your stay or if you prefer individually with your partner. After dinner our farewell dance ends our Christmas Package on a high note before your return journey home the next day.
